Authentic Koshi Chimes
Everybody's favorite chime, these authentic Koshi Chimes are handmade in a workshop at the foot of the Pyrenean mountains. Each set of four chimes - Terra, Aqua, Aria, and Ignis - is meticulously crafted, with eight notes welded with silver into the metal plate at the base of the resonance bamboo tube.
As you gently sway them, their soothing acoustics fill the air with pure tones. The chimes are designed to evoke the elements, with each one offering a unique and harmonious scale:
- Terra (Earth) is tuned to G C E F G C E G
- Aqua (Water) is tuned to A D F G A D F A (Pentatonic)
- Aria (Air) is tuned to A C E A B C E B
- Ignis (Fire) is tuned to G B D G B D G A (Pentatonic)
Whether played together, or one chime at a time, these Koshi Chimes harmonize beautifully. The overtones of the shorter chords gradually dominate and become fundamental, creating a circular, ever-evolving tone range that is both soothing and relaxing.
